What?
A little Background Bliss-Stick.ca is based in the Rocky Mountains in the little town of Jasper, Alberta. Although Bliss-Stick boats have been trickling up from the states for some time, we're a dedicated distributor working to keep a decent stock of colors and models available to paddlers across the country. The internet provides easy access no matter where you live, what day of the week it is, or your local time zone.
When someone orders a kayak it is usually shipped using Greyhound (though we are open to other methods of freight if you prefer) and gets to you ASAP so you can start hucking and having fun. Freight typically takes about one week to arrive on the east coast and even less for those closer to the Rockies To find out model and color availability drop us a line and we'll let you know what's up for grabs and have your new boat on its way as soon as we receive payment.
Have a special order? No problem. Pick your model, anything in the Bliss-Stick line, even if it isn't something we usually stock. Pick your color or color combination. Send us an e-mail or give us a call and we'll hash out the details.
Construction and Materials
All Bliss-Stick boats are made in New Zealand from start to finish. From the concepts of the design team a boat is sculpted and shaped by hand. A prototype is made and eventually an aluminum mold is created to bring a new boat into production. An in-house rotomold oven is used to bake all of our hulls and other plastic components such as seats and thighbraces. Foam is added for comfort and support for pillars, seats, and thighbraces. Everything is hand assembled at the factory and packaged for the trip overseas.
All Bliss-Stick hulls and components are made from super linear polyethylene, which means that they are durable, weldable, and recyclable. These qualities assure you of having a boat that will last, can be repaired if damaged, and finally at the end of its useable life it can be easily recycled to start a new life rather than cluttering a landfill.
If you'd like more information about these processes please visit Bliss-Stick.com and have a gander. Can't find the answer to your question? Send us an e-mail and we'll fill you in.
